Rep. McBride Returns $2.4 Million to Delawareans in Her First 160 Days in Office

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This morning on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Congresswoman Sarah McBride (D-DE) announced that her office has helped release over $2.4 million of backlogged benefits to Delawareans in just her first 160 days in office.
“160 days into my term in Congress, we’ve returned $2.4 million to Delawareans in backlogged tax returns, Social Security checks, veteran’s benefits, because at the end of the day my job is to deliver for Delawareans,” said Rep. McBride.
From assisting with delayed Social Security payments and recovering long-overdue IRS refunds to expediting passports and resolving veterans’ claims, Rep. McBride’s office has already closed more than 340 constituent cases across the state. These efforts have made a real difference in people’s lives — helping families stay in their homes, enabling seniors to afford medications, and ensuring veterans get the care and support they’ve earned.
