Dover, DE. — Rep. The meeting focused on aligning economic development efforts with the needs of local employers and workers across Kent County.

“Economic growth works best when it’s rooted in local partnerships and responsive to the real needs of employers and workers,” said Rep. McBride. “KEP plays a critical role in bringing together the public and private sectors in Central Delaware and help strengthen our workforce and create opportunity across Kent County by investing in the long term success of business.”

KEP is a nonprofit economic development organization that works with county and municipal governments and private-sector partners to attract investment, support existing businesses, and promote long-term economic vitality throughout Central Delaware. During the meeting, McBride and KEP leaders discussed workforce trends, business retention, and strategies to ensure local residents can access good-paying jobs.

McBride has consistently emphasized the importance of leveraging federal resources to support local economic priorities, including workforce development and job creation initiatives that reflect regional needs.
