WILMINGTON, Del. — Today, Congresswoman Sarah McBride (D-Del.) issued the following statement on the passing of Former Delaware Senate President Pro Tempore Patricia "Patti" Blevins:

DEWEY BEACH, Del. – U.S. Representative Sarah McBride and U.S. Senator Chris Coons (both D-Del.), joined by the Army Corps of Engineers, DNREC Secretary Greg Patterson, local elected officials, and community leaders surveyed damage on Friday morning from last week’s nor’easter that battered Delaware’s coast for four days and caused severe beach erosion, dune damage and flooding in communities all along the coast. The storm damaged homes and businesses, caused road closures, and shut down beaches.

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, U.S. Representative Sarah McBride (D-Del.) voted to pass the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA), which includes several Delaware priorities she advocated for during the development of the legislation.
