WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Delaware’s Congresswoman Sarah McBride (D-Del.) spoke to advocates from Paid Leave for All and the National Partnership for Women & Families at an event highlighting the success of paid family and medical leave laws across the nation. Rep. McBride has long championed paid family and medical leave for working families. In 2022, she passed the Healthy Delaware Families Act with bipartisan support in the Delaware General Assembly, providing paid family and medical leave to workers across the First State.

WASHINGTON, DC — Delaware Congresswoman Sarah McBride (D-Del.), alongside Reps. Jim Costa (D-Calif.) and James Moylan (R-Guam), are urging U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Brooke Rollins to reverse recent changes to the Section 502 Direct Loan Program – the only federal mortgage program specifically designed to help low-income households in rural areas, such as Sussex County, buy, build, repair, and rehabilitate a home. The changes to the program will make it more expensive for Americans to buy affordable homes.

Chris Pappas (D-N.H.), helped introduce the Highway Fair Share Act, legislation that would require all states to receive at least 0.5% of the total apportionment of federal highway formula funds. These funds are used across the country to modernize and improve surface transportation infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and highways that connect people nationwide.
